You want a specific timber or finish
Live edge slabs, reclaimed boards and painted or oiled finishes are all options. Bring a photo of what you like and it can usually be worked out from there.
Flat pack will not take the weight
Chipboard sags. Solid timber and proper fixings do not, which matters for a desk, a worktop or anything holding books.

Yes. Most jobs start with a rough idea or a picture found online. Measurements are taken on site and you approve the plan before anything is cut.
How long does a bespoke piece take?
It depends on the piece and the timber. You will be given a realistic timescale with your quote rather than an optimistic one.
Do you work with reclaimed timber?
Yes, where it is sound. Reclaimed boards need checking for nails, damp and movement first, which is factored into the quote.
