Handyman in
Clevedon
Victorian seaside housing stock meeting Bristol Channel weather.
Clevedon has a good deal of Victorian villa and terrace housing, and being on the coast it gets the same estuary weather as Portishead. The combination of older timber detailing and salt air means external joinery here needs both sympathetic repair and a realistic view of how long a finish will last.
LW Services covers Clevedon and the surrounding BS21 streets. Also working nearby in Yatton, Kenn, Walton in Gordano and Tickenham. See the full list of services.
What comes up in Clevedon
- Period timber detailing that is often worth repairing and matching rather than replacing with a modern equivalent that looks wrong.
- Coastal grade fixings and finishes on anything external, because standard fixings stain and fail faster in salt air.
- Older suspended floors and higher ceilings, which changes how flooring, skirting and fitted storage are approached.

Clevedon
Can you match existing Victorian mouldings?
In most cases yes. A section of the existing profile is used as a pattern so a repair blends in rather than standing out.
How far does the working area extend past Clevedon?
