LW Services exists because of a gap. Building firms will not turn out for half a day's work, and plenty of jobs do not need one anyway. They need someone with the right tools, who has done it before, and who can actually turn up on a Tuesday.
The common thread is timber and tools. Fencing, decking, flooring, gates, fitted pieces and the general run of repairs. None of it is complicated work. It just needs doing properly by someone who owns a mitre saw and knows how wood behaves outdoors in a wet part of the country.
How jobs are priced
For a defined piece of work you get a fixed price before anything starts. For a list of small jobs an hourly or half day rate is usually fairer, because the alternative is padding the quote to cover the unknowns. You will be told which applies to your job when you get in touch.
What you can expect
- A free quote, and a price agreed before anything starts
- The person who quoted the job turning up to do it
- Dust sheets down and the site cleared at the end of each day
- A straight answer if a job needs a registered trade instead
Do it once,
do it right
Most callbacks come from work that was rushed or specified too cheaply. The parts you cannot see are what decide whether a job lasts.
Timber suited to where it is going
External timber in Bristol and out towards the coast takes real weather. Specifying for the exposure costs a little more once and saves a replacement later.
Told straight, not sold to
If a repair will do, you get told that rather than being talked into a replacement. If a job needs a registered trade, you get told that too. There is no commission in it either way.
